Welcome to the web site of the American Petroleum Institute's Houston Chapter. The Houston Chapter of the API is a nonprofit organization of oil and gas professionals dedicated to providing a forum for discussion of energy related issues and promoting actions to improve the energy industry through education and personal interaction. The API - Houston Chapter is a non-profit professional organization with membership open to any individual 18 years or older who is actively engaged in the petroleum industry. The Houston API has the largest membership of any API Chapter in the world, with an average annual membership usually exceeding 2000. Please click on Membership for more information on how to join.

The API - Houston Chapter sponsors approximately 8 monthly General Meetings starting in September and ending in May. These meetings are usually held at the Petroleum Club at 1201 Louisiana Street, 35th floor of Total Plaza in downtown Houston. Valet Parking is accessible from the 1200 block of Milam. The API - Houston Chapter usually holds 5 fun events each year including a 3-Gun Challenge, a Sporting Clays Tournament, a Cowboy Days event, a Golf Tournament and a Tennis Tournament. All members and their families are welcome to join in! Please click on Events for more detailed information.
